Durocky Road, LLC Host Open House for New Distribution Facility

Valdosta, Georgia – Durocky Road, LLC, project developer for DuPont Crop Protection’s new Valdosta Distribution Facility is hosting an open house Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 11:00 am. Guest are invited to tour their new space in Westside Business Park, 750 Westside Way.
The 150,000-square-foot distribution facility will support DuPont Crop Protection manufacturing operations for crop protection chemicals, which are produced on Rocky Ford Road in Valdosta. Durocky Road, LLC made a $4.8 million capital investment in the project and created approximately 125 construction trade jobs during the eight (8) month construction phase. The new facility was designed and built to DuPont Crop Protection’s rigorous standards of safety and environmental responsibility and constructed to support the installation of solar photovoltaic panels for interior lighting and process energy requirements. Future building expansions will streamline into the new site with an additional 22,000 square foot for future requirements.

The distribution facility will employ 10 associates, support the employment of 15 additional associates in the DuPont Crop Protection manufacturing operation in Valdosta and is projected to generate approximately $250,000 in local property tax revenue during the initial ten (10) year period of operations.

Durocky Road, LLC, Principal Doug Griffin, will operate the 150,000-square-foot logistics and distribution facility that will support DuPont Crop Protection manufacturing operations for crop protection chemicals, which are produced in Valdosta.
